What does email for all your sites cost?

Enter how many sites you run, how many contacts each has and how often you write to them. See the monthly bill on each major platform, priced the way that platform actually bills several sites, next to the SendBeam plan that fits the whole account.

Account total: 3,000 contacts, 12,000 emails a month.

For 3 sites with 1,000 contacts each, SendBeam's Pro plan is $29 a month for the whole account. The same setup costs $110 on Mailchimp and $31.5 to $110 across the other per-site platforms, so you save $81 a month against the dearest. Kit (free) and Buttondown ($27) are cheaper at this size — if that is all you need, use it.

Why the shapes differ

Per site, or per account.

Some platforms are one list per account, so a second site is a second account and a second bill. Some allow several audiences or publications and price each one. A few pool everything on one account. SendBeam pools: one plan covers every workspace, and workspaces are free within the plan’s allowance (1 on Free, 3 on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Business).

The long version, with the consent and deliverability reasons for keeping sites apart, is in the multi-site guide.

How are rival prices worked out?
From each platform’s published pricing page, read on the date shown, taking the cheapest plan that removes the platform’s branding at that contact count. Platforms that bill per site or per audience are multiplied by your number of sites; platforms that pool contacts on one account are priced once on the total. A free plan counts only when both its contact cap and its monthly email cap cover the site.
How is the SendBeam plan chosen?
It is the cheapest plan whose pooled contact cap, pooled monthly email cap and workspace allowance all fit your inputs. Past the Business plan the calculator says “Business or ask us” rather than guessing.
Why does the summary sometimes say a rival is cheaper?
Because at your size it is, usually thanks to per-site free tiers when every site is small. The calculator is meant to be trusted, so it says so.
Is this the price I will pay?
For SendBeam, yes: the amount shown is the amount charged, with no tax added. Prices here are USD, billed monthly; the pricing page quotes your own currency and a yearly option with two months free. For the other platforms it is our reading of their pricing page on the date shown; check their page before deciding.
